Safety

Coastal Rotors has a Safety Management System for people, process and equipment and is committed to ensuring all work activities are conducted safely and in accordance with Australian Standards.

Our Safety Management System consists of four essential pillars – Safety Policy (including an Injury Policy) | Safety Risk Management | Safety Assurance | Health and Safety Promotion and Education including Human Factors – which comprise key elements that are covered utilising trained people, processes and tools. We are firmly committed to a policy enabling all flying and other work activities to be carried out safely, and with all possible measures taken to remove (or at least reduce) risks to the health, safety and welfare of workers, contractors, authorised visitors, and anyone else who may be affected by our operations.

Safety Focus > For People, Process and Services

At Coastal Rotors our safety focus and commitment covers process, people and services. We complete every aspect of operations with attention to detail and adherence to policy and procedures. Our safety focus is maintained in parallel with operational outcomes:

  1. Safety Management Systems operate effectively to support this policy in accordance with direction from the Safety Manager.
  2. Risk Management procedures are integrated into the planning and conduct of all operations, training, administrative activities and for the control of hazards in the workplace.
  3. Personnel hold appropriate qualifications and certification of competency for conducting training, supervision, operation of plant and equipment and Workplace Health and Safety representation.
  4. Visibility of safety performances is provided through incident reports, safety management system audits and safety inspections, recency management, emergency preparedness and assurance measures.
